CAN I TURN OFF THE POWER IF THE TENANT STOPS PAYING RENT?

Landlords ask me this question all the time, and the answer is no. A landlord does not have a right to stop the utilities or turn off the power if the tenant has stopped paying the rent. Florida statue prohibits that and it is illegal.
